Sexual Dysfunction
All aspects of sexual dysfunction are assessed and treated.
Assessment will usually involve a full medical check-up and
sometimes investigations as sexual dysfunction can often herald
significant medical disease. (See information sheet “sexual
dysfunction, an introduction”)
Medication is dispensed from the clinic including oral and
injectable treatments and natural health products; sex aids
and lubricants are also available for purchase.
Male
- Hypoactive Sexual Desire (loss of desire or motivation
for sex)
- Erectile Dysfunction (difficulty in attaining an erection
sufficient for sex)
- Premature Ejaculation (reaching orgasm or ejaculating
before desired and without control)
- Retarded Ejaculation (difficulty or failure to reach orgasm
or ejaculate)
- Others: sexual addiction, sexual phobias, gender or sexual orientation issues
Female
- Hypoactive Sexual Desire (loss of desire or motivation
for sex)
- Impaired arousal (difficulty in becoming fully aroused,
poor lubrication)
- Anorgasmia (Inability or difficulty reaching orgasm)
- Vaginismus (Involuntary spasm of the vaginal muscles leading
to difficulty or pain on vaginal penetration)
- Pain Disorders (vulval pain caused by vestibulitis, vulval
inflammation or infection, pelvic pain caused by endometriosis,
pelvic infection or other gynaecological problems)
- Others: sexual addiction, sexual phobias, gender or sexual orientation issues
